Chennai: The Tamil film industry mourns the untimely demise of actor Daniel Balaji, who passed away on Friday night at the age of 48. Balaji succumbed to a heart attack, following which he was rushed to a private hospital in Chennai, where he breathed his last.
The sudden death of Daniel Balaji has sent shockwaves across his fan base and the industry alike. Director Mohan Raja expressed his grief on social media, paying tribute to Balaji and recalling their friendship. “Such a Sad news. He Was an inspiration for me to join film institute. A very good friend. Miss working with him. May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote.
Renowned film analyst Sreedhar Pillai took to social media to share the tragic news of Balaji’s demise, stating, “#DanielBalaji (48) a fine actor passed away late night due to a cardiac arrest. Who can forget his voice and performance as the antagonist in Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu, Polladhavan? #RIPDanielBalaji.”
Daniel Balaji’s final rites are scheduled to take place today, marking the end of a remarkable career and leaving behind a legacy cherished by many in the Tamil film fraternity.
