Jaipur: In a shocking incident a camel killed its master in Barmer district on Saturday. Camel is considered to be a faithful animal of human but it completely turned upside down when its master tied it under sun for a whole day.
A 75-year-old, Urjaram Meghwal was killed by his camel when he went to fetch the animal as it had been roaming around since Saturday morning with its legs tied in a hobble. “The animal lifted him by the neck and threw him on to the ground, chewed the body and severed the head,” villager Thakara Ram.

“We found the camel sitting on Urjaram after killing him. It had gored his face and arms,” said Thala Ram, a local villager. Prof A K Gehlot, Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Bikaner, said that, “Camels are most adept at the weather. However, after prolonged exposure to heat and with hobble on its legs, the camel may have been annoyed. This may have prodded it to become violent. Alternatively, the animal may have been suffering from rabies.”
