On the 17th of November, a woman named Radha Ramani registered a complaint against Dubbaka Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Raghunandan Rao that he raped her.

A case was registered in Ramachandrapuram PS last year in this regard but she attempted suicide by swallowing sleeping pills on the evening of the 16th of November.

According to sources she was upset that no progress has been made so far in the case against the MLA.

The police rushed to the spot after receiving the information from locals and shifted her to Pathancheru Government Hospital.

Doctors said RadhaRamani’s condition is stable at present. Also Read – Khammam: Woman farmer attempts suicide in front of MLA According to the affidavit, Radha Ramani put allegations on Raghunandan and registered a complaint against him stating that he raped her and also several other people during his tenure as a lawyer has harassed her. RadhaRamani has stated that she will continue her fight till justice is done to her.

Raghunandan Rao, a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contestant Raghunandan Rao defeated TRS contestant Solipeta Sujatha with a narrow margin. He won the by-election with a majority of 1,079 votes. The election results made both BJP and TRS parties feel the pressure as the margin was narrow and even the lead factor kept on changing with the counting results of each round.
