The water inflow is still continuing in Nagarjuna Sagar in Telangana.

Recently, on the 27th of September, ten crest gates of Nagarjuna Sagar were opened, owing to the heavy rainfall.  The officials transferred 1,50,130 cusecs of water downstream.

Despite reduced flood water from upstream, rainwater in the nearby areas of Nagarjuna Sagar is flowing towards the reservoir.

To control the flood situation near Nagarjuna Sagar, the concerned officials lifted two more crest gates of Nagarjuna Sagar.

As of now, the water level in the Nagarjuna Sagar reservoir is 589.90 feet against the full tank level of 590 feet.

According to sources, Nagarjuna Sagar has 85,378 cusecs of water, whereas 56,000 cusecs of water was released downstream by opening two crest gates.
