On the 15th of October, Mr. Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of Telangana State, inaugurated the Community Health Centre under the Telangana Vaidya Vidhana scheme.

The new building was inaugurated on the 15th of October, Friday, in Ameerpet, Hyderabad, Telangana.

The new Community Health Centre would be a 50 bed hospital over 9,451 sq feet area with advanced and developed medical infrastructure. The facilities at the hospital includes, ECG and X ray area, outdoor patients service, diagnostic facilities, operation theatre, oxygen beds and other services. The upgrade of the six bed hospital to a 50 bed hospital is now open for the public in Hyderabad. The new hospital would be a benefit for the locals residing in the areas of Jubilee Hills, Panjagutta, Ameerpet,

A statue of Mahatma Gandhi was also inaugurated at the hospital premises.

The new hospital was built at a cost of Rs. 4.53 crores. In addition, the Union Minister also inaugurated a statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the hospital premises.

Meanwhile, during the inauguration, tension prevailed on leaving the name of the Union Home Minister Mr. Kishan Reddy’s name on the plaque. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders, workers and activists staged a protest outside the new hospital, asking the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for not including Mr. Kishan Reddy’s name along with the other leaders of the TRS on the inaugural plaque.

Soon, the Hyderabad Police reached the spot and controlled the situation.

The inaugural event was also attended by Mr. G. Kishan Reddy, Mr. T. Srinivas Yadav, Ms. Surabhi Vani Devi, the Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) of the TRS, Mr L. Sharman, the District Collector of Ameerpet, Mr. Chandrashekhar Reddy and other senior health officials were present.
