The Union Ministry of Road and Transport allocated Rs. 928 crores to the Telangana Government.

On the 21st of September, the Central Government announced the money to expand Hyderabad-Bijapur highway. The decision was taken by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government, considering the enhanced and safe roads. The road is of prime concern to the people residing in the districts of Rangareddy and Vikarabad as the road is not only narrow but causes many accidents due to dangerous turns. The Member of Parliament (MP) Mr. Ranjith Reddy of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) said, “The expansion of road has been taken to the centre many times and at last, the centre has released the funds.”

With the released money, the Union Ministry asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to expand the roads. The roads would be expanded to 60 meters against the existing 46.60 km from Appa Junction on Hyderabad outskirts to Manneguda in Vikarabad district.

The expansion of the Hyderabad-Bijapur Highway and better roads would be useful for the people under the Chevella Parliament constituency limit. In addition, people traveling to Vikarabad, Tandur Parigi and Kodangal would also be easier.
