Hyderabad: Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Chairman Dr. B Janardhan Reddy tendered resignation within two hours after meeting chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday.

Janardhan Reddy explained various decisions taken by TSPC before submitting his resignation to governor Tamilisai Soundara Rajan. Governor accepted the resignation and directed the chief secretary to take necessary action.

TSPSC faced the ire of job aspirants with paper leakage incident reported in May 2023 followed by suicides of a few aspirants. Congress party in its manifesto promised to revamp the TSPSC board and release all pending job notifications within the stipulated period.

As promised Revanth Reddy started revamping the TSPSC and resignation of Janardhan Reddy is a key move. Sources said that the state government is eyeing to release a row of job notifications from January 2024.

Janardhan Reddy, IAS is posted as the chairman of TSPC on May 21, 2021. He was a serving IAS at the time of his posting as chairman of TSPC.
