Leaders of two opposition parties, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) got into a war of words.

On the 25th of August, the Telangana Labour Minister Mr. Malla Reddy, took a dig at the TPCC President Mr. A. Revanth Reddy. Responding to the allegations of land grabbing by Mr. Revanth Reddy, the TRS Minister said, The TPCC President is a broker and secured the President’s post by giving a bribe.

During a press meet in Muduchintalapally, Mr. Malla Reddy said, “Revanth is assuming himself that he had already become the Telangana CM.” He further denied the allegations of Mr. Revanth Reddy and said, he was never involved in illegal activities like the Telangana Congress President.

During the press conference, the TRS leaders like Mr. K Vivekanand, Mr. Shambhipur Raju and others were present.

The statement of Mr. Malla Reddy came after the TPCC President alleged him of using the Government assigned land illegally for profit.

Meanwhile, the criticism of the two political leaders against each other came at a time when the State is set to conduct the Huzurabad Assembly by election.

All the major political parties in Telangana, the TRS, the TPCC and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are in the fray to win the Assembly seat.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) is soon to announce the dates for the Huzurabad Assembly by election.
