T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana and a member of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi  (TRS,) distributed essential items to the poor Brahmins in  Gajwel. 

On the 28th of April, Harish Rao visited the integrated office complex in Gajwel and distributed essential commodities and food packets to poor Brahmins.  

The event was organised with a few TRS officials maintaining social distancing and guidelines strictly.   

Many brahmins and archaks who are now jobless due to the lockdown are facing difficulties during the lockdown.  Considering their problems, Harish Rao organised a distribution event and provided them necessary commodities.

 During the occasion, Mr. Rao applauded the efforts of the people of Telangana and police who contributed to maintain social distancing and followed the guidelines of the lockdown.

Mr. Rao also emphasized upon the need of wearing face masks and using sanitizers to avoid the spread of the Coronavirus.

The low affair event was attended by Vanteru Prathap Reddy, the Chairman of the Forest Development Corporation R. Muthyam Redddy, a Special Officer of the Gajwel Area Development Authority and other TRS officials.

Meanwhile, Telangana recorded a total of 1,003 cases of the Novel Coronavirus till the 28th of April.
