After winning the Munugode by election, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) now known as the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is eyeing the Gujarat Assembly Polls.

Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the TRS, said, the Munugode by election win would be a platform for the BRS against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the future.

Now, the TRS won the Munugode by election, the party which launched the national party is set to meet the Election Commission of India (ECI) officials and complete the process of name change.  It is to be noted, prior to the Munugode by election, the TRS delegation met with the ECI officials in Delhi and Telangana, requesting them to let the party contest the Munugode by election in the name of the TRS, instead of the new name, the BRS.

Meanwhile, with the upcoming Gujarat Assembly polls scheduled in the first week of December, the TRS is aiming to fight the elections.  The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leaders living in various cities of Gujarat state are asking the TRS to contest in Telugu people dominated Assembly constituencies for campaigning for the TRS, now known as the BRS.

However, a final decision regarding the TRS campaigning in Gujarat for the 2022 Gujarat Assembly elections would be taken by Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat Assembly elections are scheduled between the 1st to the 5th of December, whereas the results would be announced on the 8th of December.
