Mr. Revanth Reddy, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, visited the Jubilee Hills Police Station to file a complaint.

The complaint is said to be regarding the recent clash outside Mr. Revanth Reddy’s residence. On the night of the 21st of September, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC) were involved in a violent clash outside the residence of Mr. Revanth Reddy. In this, three activists of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Vidyarthi Vibhag (TRS student wing) were injured when they clashed with stones and sticks.

Getting into the details of the incident, the TRS Student Wing cadres were planning to protest outside the residence of Mr. Revanth Reddy and burn his effigy. However, the protest took a violent turn when the INC cadres and workers started throwing stones at the TRS workers, which soon resulted into a TRS-INC clash.

The Jubilee Hills Police booked cases under Section 324 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the INC cadres yesterday. Mr. S. Rajasekhar Reddy, an inspector of the Jubilee Hills Police Station said, “No arrests have been made in the case.”

Reacting to the incident, the TPCC leaders lashed out at the KTR and TRS Government. Mr. Mallu Ravi, the TPCC Vice President, said, “The voice of the opposition is being suppressed by the TRS Government. What is wrong in Revanth’s white challenge which is aimed at making Telangana state free of drugs? Instead, KTR chose to file a case against Revanth Reddy, which is nothing but a move to escape from undergoing drug test.”

On the other hand, the TPCC Chief on the 22nd of September, visited Jubilee Hills Police Station and filed a first information report (FIR) against the TRS cadres.

Mr. Revanth Reddy is also going to protest and sit on a Dharna at Indira Park, Hyderabad, today, the 22nd of September.
