In Telangana’s Pulivendula region, high tension prevailed amid the interrogation of Mr. Y.S. Avinash Reddy, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the Kadapa Assembly constituency.  

It is to be noted, Mr. Avinash Reddy is being questioned in the 2019 controversial murder of Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, uncle of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.  He is one of the accused who helped in then murder of Mr. Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.

Notably Devireddy Shiva Shankar Reddy allegedly conspired to the murder of Mr. Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, the uncle of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.  As per the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe, in 2017, Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy contested from Kadapa district and won on the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) ticket, which Devireddy was eyeing.  The tussle between the two leaders started since then, in 2019, Devireddy along with one Yera Gangi Reddy, a close associate killed Mr. Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.

According to sources, Mr. Avinash Reddy is attending an enquiry related to murder case of Mr. Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy for the second time.  He is currently at the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) principal office in Hyderabad.

After mentioning the Kadapa MP’s name as accused in the murder case, a war like the situation was witnessed.   Many Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders and supporters of Mr. Avinash Reddy staged a dharna in Pulivendula town.
