The two day Telangana Legislative Assembly session, organised by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) on the 18th of July, will begin at 11:00 A.M.

The special session was organised to pass the new Municipal Bill, which was drafted by the TRS Government, ahead of the Municipal elections in the State.

The Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament (MPs) and other officials will be present at the meeting.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, who is also responsible for the municipal and urban development authorities is likely to introduce the bill today.

After today’s session, the Telangana Assembly will be adjourned until tomorrow, the 19th of July, giving a day’s time to the MLAs to go through the bill and share their suggestions about the same the next day.

On the 19th of July, the Assembly session will begin again and the Municipal Bill will be passed based on the discussions which take place and the majority votes.

The Assembly session will be held at the Raj Bhavan Assembly House, Telangana.
