The Telangana Government decided to begin online classes for students of class 1 to 8 from the 16th of June. The decision was taken by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

The summer vacation for students has been extended till the 15th of June and classes would begin from the 16th of June. In the wake of the second wave of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19,) offline classes seems impossible until September. Considering the loss of studies and education for students of class 1 to 9, the State Education Department decided to conduct online classes.

All the schools and educational institutions are closed for offline classes since March 2020, when the first lockdown was imposed. It has been more than 18 months, educational institutions are shut. However, all the students are attending online classes to continue their courses and sessions.

The new session ( academic year 2021-2022) for the students who were promoted without exams by the State Government would begin from the 16th of June.

Initially, the online classes for the new session were scheduled to begin from the 7th of June, but considering the second wave of the COVID-19 infection, the State Government extended the vacations till the 15th of June.
