In the past 24 hours, Telangana registered 612 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19. 

Of the total 612 new COVID-19 cases, the highest cases were from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) (144,) followed by 73 from Rangareddy, 60 from Malkajgiri, 29 from Warangal Urban, 28 from Karimnagar, 23 from Bhadradri Kothagudem and 21 from Nalgonda.

The remaining cases were 18 from Khammam, 15 each from Mancherial and Rangareddy, 13 from Mahabubabad, 12 each from Adilabad, Jagtial and Mulugu, 11 each from Medak, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, 10 from Jangaon, 9 each from Suryapet, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Yadadri Bhongir and Nagarkurnool, 7 each from Siddipet, Nizamabad, Mahabubnagar, Jogulamba Gadwal, 6 each from Komarambheem Asifabad and Kamareddy, 5 from Warangal Urban, 4 each from Wanaparthy and Nirmal, 3 from Narayanpet.

According to the media bulletin released on the night of the 10th of December, the State registered 612 positive cases, 502 recoveries and 3 deaths.

With the aforementioned data confirmed by the Telangana Health Ministry, the State has 2,76,516 positive cases, of which 7,604 are active cases, 2,67,427 recovered/discharged cases and 1,485 deaths till 11th of December.

In addition, the State Health Department maintained more than 50,000 single day sample tests for COVID-19.

The State Medical Department conducted as many as 56,178 tests in the past 24 hours. Of the total tests, 24,710 were on primary contacts and 6,741 on secondary contacts. The remaining were general tests in private and government labs.

However, the results of 677 samples are awaited. With this, the State so far, 60,292,909 tests for the Novel Coronavirus infection.

On the other hand, the recovery rate of Telangana is 96.71 % and fatality rate at 0.53 %.
