The Telangana Health Department confirmed 493 new cases of the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19.) 

On the evening of the 24th of June, Friday, the Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin, confirming 493 new cases, 219 recovered/discharged cases and 0 fatalities. Of the total new cases, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation reported a majority of 366 new cases, Medhal Malkajgiri reported 34 cases and Rangareddy registered 40 cases.

The new Wuhan virus cases were confirmed after conducting 29,084 sample tests, taking the overall tally to 3.54 crores.

Furthermore, the media bulletin also confirmed a 99.07% recovery rate, with a positivity rate of 1.60% and a fatality rate of 0.33%.

With this, currently, Telangana has 7,98,125 total positive cases, of which 7,90,692 are recovered/discharged cases, 4,111 are death cases and 3,322 active cases.
