The Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus, is continuously under check with everyday reports numbering below 300 cases.

 

On Monday evening, the 27th of June, Telangana reported 477 new cases with 0 deaths and 279 recoveries.  The Telangana Health Department released a media bulletin and updated about the COVID-19 situation in Telangana.  The new cases were confirmed after conducting 25,989 COVID-19 tests of samples, taking the cumulative total to 3,55,32,200 to date.

 

With this, Telangana now has  7,99,532 positive cases, of which 3,960 are active, 7,91,461 are recovered/discharged and 3,895 are deceased. 

 

According to sources, the highest number of cases have been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) region, areas of Rangareddy, Warangal, and Karimnagar.  The GHMC reported the highest number of COVID-19 (258,)cases in the past 24 hours, followed by Rangareddy (107) and Medchal Malkajgiri with 56 cases.

 

With the situation under control, the K. Chandrashekar Rao-led Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) is preparing for the possible fourth wave of the deadly virus.

 

In addition, the recovery rate of Telangana improved to 98.99%, whereas the active case rate is at 1.1%
