After launching the don’t waste food initiative, the Telangana Police launched free food delivery for the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 patients in Telangana.

The free food delivery service named as ‘Seva Aahar’ is in collaboration with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Lead Life foundation, Swiggy, Big Basket and Hope organisation.

As per an official release regarding the same, the step has been taken to ensure healthy food to COVID-19 patients who are home quarantined. These home quarantined patients could order free food by using the app ‘Seva Aahar’ app. According to the release, one person can order food for five people using a single registered number five times.

However, one should order food before 6:00 A.M., through the Seva Aahar app or WhatsApp message. The WhatsApp number for ordering free food is 7799616163.

The free food services would be non profitable and be monitored by Swati Lakra, the Additional Director General of Police (DGP) of the Women Safety Wing, and B. Sumathi, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Chief Investigation Department (CID.)
