In Telangana’s Asifabad region, a Telangana Police constable named Sura Rajini Kumar received severe injuries in a gun misfire incident, which occurred on the 8th of November, Tuesday.
The shocking incident took place at Koutala police station, near Asifabad district on Tuesday morning 5:00 A.M. According to sources, Constable Sura Rajini Kumar, a native of Batwanpalli village, Mancherial district, from 13th Battalion of Telangana State Special Police. He was selected as the constable for the Telangana Police in 2021 and was on sentry duty when the alleged misfiring happened. The bullet pierced Sura Rajini Kumar’s jaw causing him serious injuries and was rushed to a state run hospital in Karimnagar. The injured constable Sura Rajini Kumar is said to be in critical health condition and is undergoing treatment.
Meanwhile, the Asifabad Police registered a case and launched an investigation, as to whether Sura Rajini Kumar shot himself intentionally or it happened accidentally.
The investigation into the matter is underway.
