Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, expressed happiness about the growth of Telangana.

On the 2nd of June, Friday, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said, Telangana’s per capita income grew to Rs. 3.17 lakh from Rs. 1.24 lakh.  He further added, the Gross State Domestic Product of the State also went up to Rs. 13 lakh crore from a little over Rs. 5 lakh crore in the past nine years.

Marking the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Telangana Formation Day, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao said the Telugu State, which got the status of statehood developed in the past nine years.  The State not only became stable and progressed economically, but also became the T-Hub of innovation, and start-ups and received huge investments from international companies.

Narrating Telangana’s achievements since its formation on June 2, 2014, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Raom said, “The state’s installed power generation capacity increased to 18,453 MW from 7,778 MW nine years ago.”  He added, “In 2014, the per capita income of Telangana was only Rs 1,24,104.  With the progress achieved by the Telangana government, today the per capita income of our state has increased to Rs 3,17,115. Telangana, which is only 10 years old, is better than the big states in the country in terms of per capita income.”

It is to be noted, started on the 2nd of June, the Telugu State of Telangana kickstarted 21 days of celebrations, marking the 10th anniversary of the Telangana Formation Day.  Mr. K. Chandrashekar marked the beginning of the grand celebration, by hoisting the national flag at the newly inaugurated secretariat, in Hyderabad.

In addition, the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs,) Members of the Parliament (MPs) and senior leaders also hoisted the flag in their respective constituencies.
