Mr. Ganesh, the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Nizamabad Urban, dismissed the drought situation in the region.

On the 7th of June, Wednesday, Mr. Ganesh stated that restoration of tanks, construction of Kaleshwaram multi-purpose irrigation project, irrigation and stabilization of drinking water have been completed.  He further added that there is no uncertainty of drought in Telangana, especially in Nizamabad. 

While marking the Irrigation Day celebration at New Ambedkar Bhavan, Mr. Ganesh, along with Member of the Legislative Council Kalvakuntla Kavitha participated in the event.  Mr. Ganesh said, “Due to Mission Kakatiya, the Kaleshwaram project, ground water availability has increased, fisheries have increased, tourism sector and environment have developed in Nizamabad district.”

Furthermore, the Nizamabad Urban MLA  explained that Godavari water from Kaleswaram project is being moved to Mallanna Sagar for stabilization of Nizamabad water resources and from there it is being filled to Singuru project and Nizamsagar through Haldi vagu and from Nizam Sagar water is being filled to Alisagar

Mr. Ganesh further said,  Ali Sagar pump house water is being added to Shriram Sagar back water.  In Nizamabad city, we removed silt and developed 3 ponds with a cost of Rs. 7 crore 34 lakhs.  He said that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Government is constructing a mini tank bund at Raghunatha pond so that the people of the city can stay in a pleasant environment. 

Highlighting the recent development works, Mr. Ganesh said, with the cooperation of MLC Kavitha, we have constructed freshwater tanks with a cost of Rs. 97 crores.  With the cooperation of MLC Kavitha, we have taken up development works in Nizamabad city with Rs. 1,000 crores.
