The results of the elections for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation would be announced today, on the 27th of January. 

The elections for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation on the 22nd of January were cancelled due to some irregularities.  Therefore, the re elections were held on the 25th of January, the day the results of the elections for the remaining 120 municipalities and nine corporations were announced. 

The counting of votes for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporations started at 7:00 A.M., on the 27th of January. 

The Election Commission (EC) officials organised 58 tables for 3 rounds of counting at the indoor stadium of S.R.R. Degree College, Telangana. 

As many as 20 micro observers, two assistants and one supervisor were appointed for the counting of votes. 

There are 60 wards in the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. 

According to sources, out of the 60 wards, in 2 wards, Ward No. 20 and Ward No. 37, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidates won the elections as there were no candidates of the opposition who contested. 

The counting of votes for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation would continue till the late afternoon and the results are expected to be announced soon.
