On the 16th of December, the Telangana Police found the dead body of a girl, who went missing from the Medchal district, recently.

According to sources, the police found the body of the 10 year old girl named Indu in a pond.

It is to be noted, Indu, a student of class 4 at the Zila Parishad High School in the Dammaigua region of the Jawahar Nagar area, went missing on the 15th of December.  As per Indu’s parents, she went to school at 8:30 A.M.  Later, a friend of Indu said, she asked her to go to a nearby park, but when refused, Indu went alone.  When Indu did not return, her friend informed the teacher, following which the school administration started a search for her and later informed Indu’s parents.

The parents filed a complaint, following which the police launched a search operation on Thursday.  They collected CCTV footage of the area, which showed Indu walking on the street towards the pond.  After a massive search operation, the police found the body of Indu, which has now raised questions about her death. The victim’s mother addressed the media and said, “’We suspect the death of our child has something to do with the drugs gang in our area. If the police had looked for in the lake area yesterday, maybe we could have saved her.”

As of now, her body has been shifted to a state run hospital for postmortem and an investigation has been launched.
