Mr. Malla Reddy, the Labour Minister of Telangana, said he would cooperate with the Income Tax (IT) Department regarding the investigation of alleged tax evasion against him.

Recently, 50 teams of IT officials raided the premises of Mr. Malla Reddy amid allegations of tax evasion through his educational institutions, running across the State.

On the 28th of November, Mr. Malla Reddy, a leader of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) said that he along with his family would cooperate with the investigation.  During a rally held in Uppal, Telangana, Mr. Malla Reddy said, an auditor would participate in the investigation, answering the questions of the IT officials regarding the alleged IT evasion.  He said, the auditor would represent Mr. Malla Reddy on his behalf for the investigation process.

Prior to the IT investigation, the Minister made significant remarks during his visit to Siddipet.

Mr. Malla Reddy said, as long as Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao is present, he won’t be afraid.  Furthermore, he asserted that modifications to IT regulations will be made countrywide once the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would assume power in 2024, after securing a win in the General elections.

Mr. Malla Reddy said, this type of IT raids won’t happen.
