On the 9th of January, Monday, a tragic accident was reported in Rajendranagar, Telangana.

In the wee hours of Monday, a man was killed and his wife sustained injuries when a lorry ran over them.  The victims were identified as Raithaiya and Manjula, who were waiting at Hyderguda bus stop when a speeding lorry hit and ran over them. 

According to sources, Raithaiya died on the spot while his wife sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital.  Later, after receiving the information of the accident, the local police reached the spot and shifted the dead body to the OGH mortuary and sent for an autopsy. 

Meanwhile, the Rajendranagar Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.

This is not the first such accident that occurred due to overspeed driving in the Telugu State of Telangana. In the past few days.
