In Telangana’s Warangal district, a tragic incident took place on the occasion of Dussehra, the 5th of October, Wednesday.

According to sources, in erstwhile Warangal district, three people were killed and five others were injured due to lightning strike.  Notably, three people were killed when a thunderbolt struck a banyan tree with a loud noise while they were having a party at Gutta in Sagaram suburb of Zafargad Mandal.

Getting into the details, the district police confirmed identities of the three deceased people.  The deceased have been identified as Nerelli Siva, Marupatla Sambaraju and Jettaboina Saikrishna of Bandavatapura region.

Meanwhile, the injured people are being treated at a nearby hospital and said to be stable.
