The Telangana Legislative Assembly passed a resolution on the 13th of September, Tuesday.

During the Assembly session, the State Assembly issued the resolution, demanding the Central Government to name new Parliament building which is under construction after Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the  Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution.  While introducing the bill, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister of Telangana, said that Telangana achieved Statehood because of Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.  He added, ” (The) TRS Government has been following the path shown by Ambedkar in the state.”

Praising Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Mr. K.T. Rama Rao said, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar studied at London School of Economics and Columbia University under challenging conditions in British rule.  KTR said, “He was highly intellectual compared to his contemporaries and strongly believed freedom in true spirit is not possible without social equality.  No one in independent India could understand Indian society better than Ambedkar.” 

Meanwhile, the Telangana Legislative Assembly concluded on the 13th of September, Tuesday.
