The Telangana Health Department released a health media bulletin regarding the updates of the Wuhan Virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the Telugu States.
On the 1st of January, at 5:30 P.M., the health bulletin confirmed 7 new cases of the Wuhan Virus, with 9 recoveries and zero fatalities. With the new cases, the total of positive infections of the Wuhan Virus increased to 8,41,357, of which 8,37,134 are recovered/discharged cases whereas the total number of fatalities is at 4,111. In addition, the number of active cases of the COVID-19 infection is 62.
Furthermore, the new cases were confirmed after the Telangana Health Department conducted tests for 2,748 samples of COVID-19, taking the cumulative tally to 3,82,71,211.
With this, Telangana currently has 99.50% recovery rate, 0.49% fatality rate and active case rate is lowest at 0.1%
Although the cases of the Wuhan Virus are under control in Telangana, the State Health Department is taking precautionary measures to keep the number of cases low. The State Health Department officials even urged the people of Telangana to follow all the COVID-19 protocols issued by the Central Government, including wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing in public places.
