The Telangana High Court, on the 17th of December, reviewed a petition filed against the processing of land registration through Dharani Portal.

Two advocates K. Saketh and I.Gopal Sharma filed a petition in the Telangana HC.

According to the filed petition, the advocate requested the HC to refrain the Telangana Government from seeking personal details while registration of non agriculture land through the portal.

After reviewing the petition, the Telangana HC asked the State Government to refrain from asking the Aadhar, cast and family members’ details during the process of registrations.

The court remarks came at a time when Dharani portal developed some technical glitches.

The Court said, for government officials It is not required to get such personal details which must be confidential.

There is a concern on the security of personal details of the people the court said.

The court made these observations and refrained the State Government from asking Aadhar details, caste and family members.

The Court asked the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to halt the process until changes were made.

The court adjourned the case to the 20th of December.
