T. Harish Rao, the irrigation minister of Telangana, on Tuesday said that the Government would go ahead with all the proposed irrigation projects despite the problems caused by a few. Harish Rao was speaking at Mancherial after releasing water Gudem lift irrigation project. The water from this project will reach the Kaddem project. This water is expected to provide to 31,000 acres of farmland. Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna accompanied Harish Rao to this ceremony.

He said, “While the government is aiming to irrigate nearly one crore acres, there are some who are determined to prevent this from happening. We will face these challenges and overcome them.”

He did not mention any names, but insisted that these are influential men.

The irrigation minister also said that the Kaleshwaram project once completed all integral components like dams, reservoirs, and canals can easily be supplied to the complete North Telangana region.
