Telangana Government To Conduct Two Days Assembly Session Soon

The Telangana Government, on the 8th of October decided to conduct a two day Assembly Session. 

The two days session, scheduled on the 12th and 13th of October would discuss the amendments to be made in the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections and Municipal Act.

Recently, the Election Commission of Telangana, hinted for the GHMC Election to be held in November or December.

The Election Commission of India is likely to announce the GHMC election schedule in October end.

This year, due to the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus, the elections would be held with a paper ballot.

The Telangana High Court suggested a few changes in the Municipal Corporation act, and the State Cabinet and Members of the Legislative Assembly would discuss the same.

However, an official announcement and a final decision on the conduct of the Assembly session is yet to be taken.

The final decision is to be taken on the 9th of October.
