K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on tye 18th of June, announced to celebrate centenary birth of P.V. Narasimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India.

The birth centenary celebrations would be organised in a phased manner for one year, the celebratiok would begin from the 28th of June, hich marks his 100th birth anniversary. 

Mr. Rao, said P.V. Narsimha Rao was a freedom fighter, educationist and a literary figure and served as the Prime Minister of India. Late Narsimha Rao was from Telangana and made the State proud with extraordinary qualities.

He was an honour for the entire Telangana. 

To recollect and recall the great services rendered by PV in various fields, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) decided  to organise his birth centenary celebrations on a grand scale.

In regard to this, Mr. Rao appointed a committee under the leadership K. keshava Rao, a member of the TRS. 

Chief Advisor to the government Rajiv Sharma, PV’s son PV Prabhakar Rao, PV’s daughter Vani Devi, ministers from Karimnagar district Eatala Rajender and KT Rama Rao, Official Language Commission Chairman Devulapalli Prabhakar Rao, Central Sahitya Academy awardee and noted writer “Ampasayya” Naveen would be members of the Committee.
