The Telangana Government, on the evening of the 17th of November, issued a notification and repatriated 378 tahsildars to their original districts.

Somesh Kumar, the Special Chief Secretary (Revenue) and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration [CCLA] (FAC,) issued the notification and started the repatriation process.

Somesh Kumar ordered the district collectors to start the arrangements and transfer all the tahsildars to the districts where they worked before the Assembly elections, by the 18th of November.

Out of the 378 tahsildars, 212 are from Zone 6 and the remaining 166 are from Zone 5.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, approved the transfer of the tahsildars.  The transfer proposal was made by several tahsildars after the Telangana Assembly elections ended.  The demand, which was pending for 13 months, was finally accepted.

Tahsildars from across Telangana thanked K. Chandrashekar Rao and his Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for repatriating them.
