Ahead of the grand event of the “Statue of Equality ” inauguration and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit, the Telangana Government made all the necessary arrangements.

On the 4th of February, Friday, a massive security force was deployed for Saturday’s event and Mr. Narendra Modi’s safety. After the recent security lapse issues in Punjab, the Telangana Government is being cautious, to ensure PM Modi’s safety.

At least 7,000 police personnel, including Central teams, would be on duty as security for the Prime Minister’s half-day visit to attend two programs, both on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

The Director-General of Police Mr. M. Mahender Reddy along with other top officials personally inspected the arrangements at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGAI) and at both the venues of the inauguration event. As a matter of abundant precaution, police personnel is being deployed along the road routes to both the venues although Mr. Modi is scheduled to fly in a chopper.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) after landing at RGAI at Shamshabad on the city outskirts, the Prime Minister would be flying to Patancheru in the neighboring Sangareddy district to visit the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) campus at Patancheru near Hyderabad.

After inaugurating the 50th-anniversary celebrations of ICRISAT, Mr. Narendra Modi would fly back to the airport and then leave by road for Muchintal in Rangareddy district near the airport to unveil the “Statue of Equality” at Ramanujacharya Asharam.

The Telangana Chief Secretary Mr. Somesh Kumar and the DGP on Friday reviewed the arrangements for the visit.

For the second day in a row, the top officials held a meeting with officials of various departments to take stock of the arrangements made. The Chief Secretary directed the officials of concerned departments to work in coordination to make the arrangements in the most perfect way.

The Medical and Health Department has also been asked to position specialist medical teams along with equipment at the venues. Somesh Kumar directed the Medical and Health Department Secretary to ensure the Wuhan virus (COVID-19) protocols during the visit.

In addition, all the pass holders for the event would undergo RT-PCR tests before the scheduled programs.

Officials of the Roads and Buildings Department were asked to undertake road repair works and provide sufficient lighting arrangements on the used by Modi’s convoy. In addition, the Energy Department officials have been asked to ensure an uninterrupted power supply at all the places of VIP visit. The Collectors of Rangareddy and Sangareddy districts were also asked to coordinate the arrangements at Shamshabad Airport and other venues with the organizers of the events.

Meanwhile, launched with the money of devotees from across the globe, the Rs. 1,000 crore worth 216 feet tall statue would be a major highlight of Hyderabad.

Mr. Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India is set to inaugurate the “Statue of Equality” in Hyderabad, on the 5th of February.
