Hyderabad: Voting started at a brisk pace in Telangana on Thursday. As per the official information from the chief electoral officer a total of 8.52% polling was registered until 9 am across the state.
Turnout of voters in urban areas is very high when compared to rural areas. Rajendra Nagar registered 15% voting in the first two hours of polling.
A few celebrities casted votes in Hyderabad city. Actor Chiranjeevi along with his wife Surekha and daughter Sreeja casted his vote at Jubilee hills club. Actors Jr NTR, Nitin Reddy, Poonam Kaur casted their vote. Nitin asked the voters to come forward and cast their vote for the future of the state.
SVEEP activity taken up by the election commission gave positive results. Huge turnout of youth was registered at polling stations.
Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) key leaders K Taraka Rama Rao, Harish Rao, Kalvakuntla Kavitha casted their vote.
