Ms. P. Sabitha Indra Reddy, the Education Minister of Telangana, is scheduled to launch the Student Academic Verification Service (SAVS) on the 18th of November, Friday.

The launch event would be held at the Conference Hall of the Telangana Bhavan, Hyderabad, at 10:30 A.M., on Friday.  The Education department officials, the officials of the Telangana State Council of Higher Secondary Education (TSCHE) officials and others would attend the meeting.

Notably, on the 17th of November, Thursday, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government led State Education Department issued an official notification regarding the launch of the SAVS.

Online academic verification for students was introduced by the TSCHE with the view of verifying fake educational certificates and helping students, employers and others to confirm documents.    The verification can be done from anywhere like from other countries and does not require one to be manually present.  However, the Digi lock app and the SAVS would only verify University certificates from Telangana government Universities and educational certificates from government schools.

The whole process of the activity is to deposit all the universities’ certificates and educational documents in the Digi locker, so it helps the state to control the fake certificates, with an easy verification process.
