The Telangana Education Department, announced the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams to be held after the 15th of June in the State.

During a review meeting on the 3rd of May,  the State Education Department discussed the rescheduling of the SSC or 10th Class Exams in the State post the 15th of June.

Due to the pandemic illness, the Novel Coronavirus infection, the exams were halted in March.  While 3 exams were conducted, 8 were pending.

The SSC exams started from the 13th of March and were supposed to end by the 6th of April, but from the 24th of March, the Central Government imposed nationwide lockdown.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed the lockdown to contain the spread of the Novel Coronavirus.

Though the lockdown is proposed to end on the 17th of May, schools, colleges and educational institutions are shut till the 11th of June.

Due to this, the Educational Department decided to conduct the remaining papers after the 15th of June.  

However, the time table regarding the re-scheduled exams would be released post lockdown, on the 17th of May.
