Mahender Reddy, the Director General of Police (DGP) of  Telangana advised the stranded people from different states to apply for an e pass to travel amid lockdown.

After an approval from the Telangana Government, the State police decided to allow e pass for people who wishes to go back to their native places besides, migrant labourers.

Mr. Reddy took  to the Telangana DGP Twitter handle and said, “Dear Citizens Who Got Stranded in Telangana due to #LockDown & want to leave for their Homes in other States in India can Apply for E-PASS by submitting required information @ the given link.

After the verification process, E-PASS will be sent to the applicant, following which the individual could move to travel to their homes.   However, due to a large number of applications, the server and the technical team of the Police department is taking a little time to process the request.  Therefore, the Telangana police urged the people to cooperate with the State police  and follow the guidelines of the lockdown in Telangana.

Meanwhile, the State recorded a total of 1,082 cases of the Novel Coronavirus in the State with 29 fatalities.
