Amid the continuous rainfall in Telangana, the Telangana Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao took a crucial decision.

On the 12th of September, Monday, Mr. K.Chandrashekar Rao directed the Chief Secretary Mr. Somesh Kumar to alert the Collectors and SPs of all the districts of the Godavari catchment area including Kothagudem and Mulugu, in the backdrop of heavy rains in the upper riparian region as the flood flow of Godavari was increasing steadily and crossing 9 lakh cusecs.

Furthermore, in this regard the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government decided to set up control room, which would be set up for monitoring rainfall in the State.

Notably, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued rain alert in the State, asking the people and collector and Superintendent of Police (SP) to be on alert.

In addition, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has been asked to be prepared to deal with traffic, water logged and other rain related issued, being faced by the citizens of Telangana.
