Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Finance Minister of Telangana, presented the 2022-2023 Telangana Budget, on the 7th of March, Monday.   

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government released a budget to the State.  While presenting the State Budget, Mr. T. Harish Rao, who is also the Health Minister of Telangana, said the new budget would fulfill all the promises made by the K. Chandrashekar Rao Government.  The new budget would focus on welfare schemes, developments and growth of sectors like agriculture, health and Information Technology sectors.

Besides, in the 2022-2023 budget, the main focus has been emphasised on the underprivileged families and farmers of the State.  According to the Telangana Government, the revenue expenditure is Rs. 1.89 crore lakhs of Telangana, whereas the capital expenditure is Rs. 29,728 crores.

The Telangana Budget Session started from the 7th of March, and the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) would decide the duration of the Budget session, after a meeting.
