The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Telangana Unit conducted a statewide protest in Telangana on the 20th of April, Wednesday.

Called by Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the BJP in Telangana, the protest was in the view of the recent suicide of a BJP functionary in Telangana.  On the 14th of April, Sai Ganesh, a 25 year old BJP activist committed suicide after being harassed by Mr. Puvvada Ajay Kumar, the Transport Minister of Telangana.

As per the BJP, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister and Khammam Police allegedly registered fake illegal charges against Sai Ganesh, which forced him to take the extreme step.  The BJP activist’s death in Khammam district has evoked protests and a political slugfest in the Telugu State. 

Mr. Bandi Sanjay Kumar asked all the BJP cadres in Telangana to take out rallies, sit in protest and wear black badges to condemn the atrocities of the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Telangana Government.

Meanwhile, the BJP in Telangana also demanded the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter and strict action against the Telangana Minister.
