The Telangana Government, on the 17th of August, announced the Monsoon session of the State Legislative Assembly. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, conducted a meeting today at Pragati Bhavan and announced the session to begin from the 7th of September.

Mr. Rao said the Assembly session should be convened for at least two weeks amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19.

Mr. Rao said, “The Ministers and the officials should be prepared for the Assembly session to be held next month, with complete information on all issues. Several bills and resolutions will be introduced during the session, besides announcements pertaining to policy decisions of the State Government.”

In regard to this, KCR instructed Vemula Prashant, the Legislative Affairs Minister and the Assembly Secretary V. Narsimhacharyulu to make arrangements in the Assembly Hall to ensure that members adhere to the physical distance in accordance with the COVID-19 rules.

The Monsoon Assembly session is expected to continue for 14 to 20 days and would discuss important issues.
