In the Telangana High Court, 10 new judges took oath as the judges, on the 24th of March, Thursday.

Notably, on the 22nd of March, Tuesday, Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, the President of India, appointed 10 new judges for the Telangana High Court (HC.)  

The oath taking ceremony was held at the Telangana HC premises in Hyderabad.  The  Telangana HC Chief Justice (CJ) Mr. Satish Chandra Sharma administered the oath to newly appointed judges.  The newly appointed judges of the Telangana High Court are: Mr. K. Surender, Mr. Surepalli Nanda, Mr. Mummineni Sudheer Kumar, Mr. Juvvadi Sridevi Natcharaju, Mr. Shravan Kumar Venkat, Mr. Gunnu Anupama Chakravarthy, Mr. Maturi Girija Priyadarshini, Mr. Sambasivarao Naidu, Mr. Anugu Santosh Reddy and Dr. Devaraju Nagarjun.

Previously, there were 19 judges at the Telangana High Court (HC) which increased to 29 now.  According to sources, there are 42 sanctioned seats for the Telangana High Court judges, of which, only 29 are now filled.  With this, a total of 13 judges’ seats are vacant at the Telangana High Court.
