Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, is scheduled to visit Nalgonda district, Telangana.

On the 8th of December, Wednesday, Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan would inaugurate the Santosh Matha Temple, in the Sherbunglow area of Nalgonda. She is also going to take part in pooja at the temple.

Later in the day, the Telangana Governor would visit paddy procurement centers in Arjalabavi and Anishetty Duppalapalli. The visit came in regard to the recent Food Commission of India’s (FCI) issue with farmers. In addition, another major reason behind the visit is the ongoing paddy procurement issue between the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led Central Government. The matter has now become a major political factor between the two strong parties of Telangana, with blame game. The TRS is blaming the Center for not procuring paddy from farmers, likewise the Central Government is blaming the TRS for the same. At the paddy procurement centers, the farmers association leaders and other public organizations are likely to meet with the State Governor.

Earlier in the day, Ms. Tamilisai Soundararajan laid the foundation stone for the Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission Building.

The Telangana Governor took to her official Twitter handle and posted a tweet. The post read, “Glad to lay the foundation stone for Telangana State Electricity Regulatory Commission building at #Hyderabad.

Appreciated TSERC for planning to meet Green Building Councils #LEED platinum, the highest rating for energy efficiency & environmental protection, for this building.”
