Mr. T. Harish Rao, the Health Minister of Telangana, inaugurated medical equipment at various hospitals in Telangana’s capital, Hyderabad, on the 6th of May, Friday.

According to sources, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Minister inaugurated a CT scan worth Rs 2.15 crore at Government Chest Hospital in Erragadda, Hyderabad.  In addition, Mr. T. Harish Rao laid the foundation stone for the construction of an integrated building complex at Koti ENT Hospital, where also he inaugurated a CT scan. 

Later, vital surgical equipment was launched in the operation theatres of Sultanbazaar Maternity Hospital.  After the inauguration, the Telangana Health Minister interacted with the officials there.

Speaking at the Erragadda Chest Hospital, Mr. T. Harish Rao said that the CT Scan would play an important role in detecting pulmonary nodules, abnormal tissue in the lungs that could indicate lung cancer, among poor patients.

The inauguration event was attended by the Jubilee Hills Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Mr. Maganti Gopinath, local public representatives and senior health officials from the hospital.  Besides, the Superintendent of the Chest Hospital Dr. Mahaboob Khan were also present during the inauguration of CT scan.
