Ms. Sonia Gandhi, the President of the Indian National Congress (INC) has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi.

On the 12th of June, Mr. Randeep Surjewala, the National General Secretary of the INC tweeted,  “Congress President Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Ganga Ram Hospital today owing to Covid-related issues.  She is stable and will be kept at the hospital for observation.  We thank all the Congressmen & women as also all well-wishers for their concern and good wishes.” 

Notably, Ms. Sonia Gandhi is currently under observation in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi.  She has been admitted due to the Wuhan virus, also known as the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) related issues.  On the 2nd of June, Ms. Sonia Gandhi tested positive for the deadly Wuhan virus.  As per medical advice, she isolated herself at her residence and was undergoing treatment with precautions.  

However, on the 12th of June, Ms. Sonia Gandhi faced some health issues due to the COVID-19 infection and was admitted to the hospital.

Meanwhile, alleged in a money laundering case, Ms. Sonia Gandhi has been asked to appear before the Enforcement Directorate (ED,) on the 23rd of June.
