The Rajiv Gandhi International Airport customs officials seized gold worth Rs. 21,20,180 from a passenger.
Getting into the details, on the 9th of April, Sunday, the Airport Officials arrested a person with 454 gms of gold. The arrested man was traveling from Dubai to Hyderabad and is suspected to be a gold smuggler.
The customs officials arrested the man after illegal gold was found in his luggage during the scanning. The officials found gold weighing 455 gms worth Rs. 21,20,180, concealed in the form of screws and rods (64 screws and 16 rods) of trolley wheels.
A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
