Mr. A. Revanth Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) broke down in tears while campaigning for the Munugode by election.
On the evening of the 20th of October, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy got emotional and said, some people are hatching conspiracies to isolate him in the Indian National Congress (INC) Telangana unit party. Addressing the media, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy shed some tears and alleged some senior leaders of the TPCC are planning conspiracies after he got the President of the TPCC post. He further alleged that some major conspiracies are going on in the Munugode constituency and requested the party activists to be careful.
In addition, Mr. A. Revanth Reddy stated that plans are going on to destroy the Indian National Congress party and asked the party activists to work hard and fight against these plottings.
Notably, after the resignation of Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy (the former Indian National Congress leader) as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Munugode, the seat fell vacant, paving the way for a by election. The three candidates of the main political parties are; Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy ( the Bharatiya Janata Party,) Mr. Prabhakar Reddy (the Telangana Rashtra Samithi) and Ms. Pallavi Sravanthi (the INC.)
The Munugode Assembly constituency by election is scheduled on the 3rd of November, whereas the results of the elections would be announced on the 6th of November.
