Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy directed the authorities to prepare an action plan for Rs.2 lakh loan waiver of farmers. He said that Rs.5000 financial support for the Rabi crop will be credited into the accounts of farmers very soon.

Revanth Reddy conducted a key review meeting on Rythu Bharosa on Monday and enquired the details of financial support given to the farmers in the last five years. Revanth Reddy told officials that they promised Rs.15000 financial to the farmer per acre before election and guidelines for the scheme are yet to be finalized. He directed officials to deposit Rs.5000 financial support per acre for farmers following the guidelines of Rythu Bandhu scheme.

Finance, Industries and Agriculture ministers Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Ponguileti Srinivasa Reddy attended the review meeting along with Revanth Reddy. Officials submitted to the CM that they are providing financial aid to farmers in December every year as an investment for the Rabi crop and this year’s process was stalled due to the directions of the Election Commission.

Revanth Reddy directed officials to ensure that no farmer should face any difficulty. He also asked officials to prepare financial estimates for Rs. 2 lakh loan waiver.
