The visit of Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the former President of the Indian National Congress (INC) in Telangana has raised political tension, gaining criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS.)

Claiming the movie to be a political agenda, the BJP and the TRS leaders criticised Mr. Rahul Gandhi for his visit and public meeting, scheduled to be held in the Warangal district.

On the 6th of May, Friday, the Indian National Congress leader would address a public meeting and would likely to unveil plans for Telangana’s agriculture sector.

The big move and the grand meeting is said to be preparations for next year’s Telangana Assembly elections.  Mr. Gandhi would address the ‘Kisan Sangharsh Sabha’ in Warangal.  He would also meet the NSUI leaders who were detained and lodged in the Chanchalguda Jail, Telangana.

Furthermore, during the two days visit, Mr. Rahul Gandhi would be addressing a meeting at Arts and Science College Grounds at Hanamkonda.  The party expects five lakh people to attend the meeting.  The Telangana  Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) under the leadership of Mr. A. Revanth Reddy made all the arrangements for the rallies and public meetings of Mr. Rahul Gandhi.

Besides a public meeting in Warangal, Mr. Rahul Gandhi is also scheduled to meet the TPCC leaders at Gandhi Bhavan, on the afternoon of the 7th of May.  He would review the party’s stand in Telangana and likely plan the next course of action, for the 2023 Telangana Assembly elections.

This grand meeting would be a major step aiming for the establishment of the Indian National Congress in the Telugu State, against the ruling TRS Government and the opposition to the BJP.

Meanwhile, after concluding the two-day meeting, Mr. Rahul Gandhi would return to Delhi, on the evening of the 7th of May.
